1# Parallel iterative Rust mate helper

3Exact src/main.rs from the versioned corresponding-source package of the deployed foundation + Rust release. Browsing flattens src/main.rs to main.rs. This helper is separate from the frozen three-ply Sunfish benchmark.

5Download https://artifacts.littleply.com/v1/2026-10-29-foundation/rust-helper-corresponding-source.tar.gz and extract to a new directory. The package includes Cargo.lock, .cargo/config.toml and 18 vendored dependencies. Run `cargo build --release --offline --locked --jobs 2` and `cargo test --offline --locked --jobs 2`. Python integration tests are in test_rust_mate.py; install python-chess and provide the modelcode dependency as described in the public export manifest. The only source-package redaction is a test-only fallback path, recorded in PUBLIC-EXPORT.json; Rust/vendor files are unchanged.

7Policy: parallel iterative depths 1/3/5/7; the deployment requests four workers subject to the host pool cap, with a shared 250ms cancellation budget and 50,000-node budget. This is cooperative cancellation, not a hard real-time guarantee. Search short-circuits model scoring when it proves a forced mate. Main.rs includes Rust tests; the downloadable package includes the Python wrapper and integration tests.

9License: GPL-3.0-or-later for this component, not Apache-2.0. shakmaty 0.27.3 is GPL-3.0-or-later; serde 1.0.228 and serde_json 1.0.145 retain their dependency licenses. Exact versions and all transitive notices are in Cargo.lock, DEPENDENCY-LICENSES.json and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.md. No helper binary is distributed.
