LittlePly / Identity
Small mark. Open notebook.
A restrained visual language for chess-model research, designed to keep the evidence readable.
The original pawn sits on two offset plies: one move, then another. The mark describes a project, not a claim about playing strength.
Use the kit
Forest ink on warm paper is the default. Use the reversed mark on a dark forest background. Keep one pawn-head diameter of clear space; minimum icon size 24 pixels. Preserve proportions and avoid effects. Square placements use the avatar rather than a cropped social card.
Georgia headings, system sans-serif body text and monospace code need no downloaded fonts. The SVG wordmark uses a local serif fallback; raster previews have fixed typography.
Colors and rhythm
- Paper #f5f3eb; ink #233e32; secondary text #526659.
- Soft panels #e8ecdf; decorative borders #d1d8c9; helper annotation amber #f7e2ab.
- Spacing: 4, 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48, 64 pixels. Corner radii: 4 and 8 pixels.
Amber retains its meaning for external mate-helper interventions. Dark artwork is a placement option; this site keeps its readable light theme.
